Some Christians

......go through much of their lives without much trauma or drama.

I know this.

I have many friends who have this kind of life. Now my life has been a lot of trauma and drama and horrific happenings since I was little. I would like to know why the Lord allows some people to have such easy lives and others have it very hard. I know some of the things that I've gone through are consequences of sin but many of them are not. It seems like the enemy has full reign on destroying a lot in my life. Just doesn't seem fair.

You see I am a planner, an organizer, and a list maker. I like to know what the main plan is. I like to know why things happen. I may never know. Which is o.k. I guess. ;-) What I do know is that before Jesus Christ changed my life I was very rebellious, stubborn, prideful and mean. It seems to me that I may have never loved Christ so deeply without such trials. Still. I wonder why the Lord allows some Christians to have mediocre lukewarm walks with Him and it seems to me that He won't allow me to live that way. Everytime I seem to slip into those puddles He makes sure I get right back up there in HOT JESUS FIRE LOVE. hehee. That's my new saying. HOT JESUS FIRE LOVE. Maybe it isn't that he allows or doesn't allow but it's my own love for Him that keeps me above the mediocre lukewarm waters. IDK, all I know is I am lucky. Even though my life has been mostly pain and heartache I am happier than most people who haven't been through 1 ounce of what I have. That in and of itself is pretty amazing.

Girl - I can tell all the way from here that you have one heck of a story and testimony. I think YOU are pretty amazing!

Most of us will take our own problems over other peoples in a heartbeat. I think everyone has their own heartaches and struggles. It's just that sometimes people don't tell you they are having them. Keep on loving and living!

Dickens says tragedy is the one promise life always fulfills - we don't always see what's going on behind the closed door or beneath the still waters. Shreve has a good friend who maintains such a serene countenance in the face of horrific challenges that I often feel true shame before him in dealing with my comparatively little trials. And yet, the casual observer might easily assume he has an easy life or a lukewarm walk. Nothing lukewarm about this man; he merely follows the Lord's command in Matthew 6:17!

I suspect God has a calling on you that requires sacrifice and trials to bring you to that narrow road that few make it to. I agree that you are quite amazing, and I'm pretty sure God thinks you are too.

Thank you so much for your prayers, I totally appreciate you!

'Hot Jesus Fire Love' - that's great!

I know what you mean. My husband and I were just teetering on the edge of our breaking point this morning. Seriously, there are SO MANY things. It's like if anything can go wrong, it does and will. I know God allows these things and we always learn from them and come out on the other side with stronger faith, BUT sometimes, I long for an easy life. I know mine isn't as bad as some, but it's a heck of a lot harder than so many others.
