Bible Commentary

Hello friends.

I am just so excited about my new bible commentary that I use with my bible study. It is so helpful. I actually got it for 50% off and then I found a xtra large bible cover that fits it for 75% off. :D

God is good!! I am using John MacArthur's commentary.

I feel so impassioned to study alongside the commentary!!! Don't you just love when you are so excited and passionate for His Word? It feels so natural. I am so excited that my name is written in the lamb's book of life. IDK, I'm just feeling very close to the Lord this week and thought I'd share in my joy!!!

:D

154 Shoeboxes!!

That's the number of shoeboxes my mom packed and made for Operation Christmas Child.

My mom is amazing!!

And let me tell you transporting and carrying up stairs all those boxes was quite the workout. :D

Thanksgiving was....

Overall pretty good. The menu was big and the tasks were just as big. But I started cooking with my bff Carrie on Wednesday evening so that by Thursday I had hardly anything to worry about.

Now the bad news.... 2:30pm and I've got the food on the stove poppin', I've got the turkey in the oven and two sides in the oven. All working hard. THE POWER GOES OUT!!!

Up in this log cabin in the woods it seems like the power goes out when the wind blows. This time BGE said it wouldn't be on until 9:00pm. So we sit in the dark, starving looking at each other and moaning and complaining. :|

So we decide to mention how grateful and thankful we are for all of God's blessings. It went well. God is so good and we really have no reason to complain. We could gorge on all the desserts I made the night before. ;-)

3 hours later the power comes back on and we have a late Thanksgiving dinner that was still big and still delicious. Thank the Lord!!!

How was your Thanksgiving?

I didn't take many pics because I was so BUSY!! ;)

Colonial Williamsburg

Was beautiful. I've been here before but it still is a sight to see. The whole week of vacation with the exception of 2 days was rainy and cool. But luckily I LOVE rainy cool weather. Wait. Why don't I live in Washington state? I don't know. Stop asking me so many questions!! You're upsetting me!!!

Hmmm. Imagine going outside in the middle of the night in the snow to use one of these. o_O

My crew is always so different looking. ;-)

I'm all packed...... AGAIN

After being home only 5 days I am off on another vacation.

DON'T HATE! ;-)

Well it's not really a vacation but I am house sitting for a friend. It's only 1.5 hours away from my house so technically I can pop back home when I need to. But I am house sitting in a LOG CABIN in the woods. And it is sooooooooooo00000o beautiful.

I will be taking the following:

  • Sassplaster
  • my mom
  • my little brother.

We will be caring for:

  • 2 horses
  • 4 dogs (a pug, mastiff, boxer and lab)
  • a lizard

It is so beautiful there and there is so much to do. :D

I will be away for Thanksgiving but because it is close to home everyone will be coming to the cabin for Thanksgiving and I am cooking of course. I'm expecting between 7-10 people. Scratch that. I think more like 10-12.

I'd like to pose some of my ideas for Thanksgiving dinner in LIST form. Shall I? This list deserves numbered aligning!!!!

  1. Turkey. Wow. Groundbreaking.
  2. Duchess Potatoes
  3. Scalloped Potatoes
  4. Baked Mac and Cheese
  5. Maple-glazed brussel sprouts
  6. Green bean casserole
  7. Sweet potato loveleynessitci.
  8. Goose
  9. Salad.
  10. Homemade cranberry sauce.
  11. Cake of some sort.
  12. Maybe some wine. Hey. Why not?

Friends what are you planning for Thanksgiving?

What do you know about Jamestown?

I know a good bit about it. Now. o_O Sad I didn't know much about how America was founded and the stories behind it. Well I know now. Do you? Go here if you don't. Or you could just watch the movie The New World if you hate reading. lol. And enjoy these dark and dreary rainy pictures while you're at it! I'm not the biggest history buff but it was amazing to be walking the same lands that our founders did so many years ago. If they hadn't we wouldn't.......

Where the first government was held.
