A Saturday night alone....

I'm with Sassy a lot. Most of the time. I don't get away much but when I am freed of her I quite enjoy it. Well one of the family friends is home from school in Greece and Sassy gets to go out and spend some time with her.

6 hours to be exact!!!!! Yay!!

What will I do with my time of 6 hours? Let's do a list of ideas I pondered.

Call a friend and go to dinner.
Call a friend and go to the movies.
Call a friend and get some wine and rent a movie.
Go to the movies alone.
Go get some takeout.
Go get some wine.
Clean the house.
Take a walk.
Go to the gym.
Go to the bookstore and spend hours.
Catch up on some trashy shows on MTV.
Read.
Go pop-in-on-someone I haven't seen in a while.
Go shopping.

Oh the possibilities were endless. Even Sassy recommended to me, "Mamma, you could get a bottle of wine and some take out!" LOL. I almost did it too. But then I thought no. I am gonna be a frugal cat just in case I am able to buy a house. I wanna have some money to fix it up. And if I can't buy a house I will use the money I have saved to travel.

So I thought instead of spending the money on that I'll use what I got. So I ate a lean cuisine and had splurged and went out to McDonald's and got a LARGE fountain soda Diet Coke.

Here's what I did:

  • Did the mountain of dishes that was the aftermath of making triple chocolate peanut butter cupcakes for the New Year's Eve party I went to.
  • Mopped the hard-wood floors.
  • Did some laundry.
  • Snuggled with the cats.
  • Hand-Washed and dried two of my bigggggg rugs in the tub.
  • Ate my lean-cuisine, drank my soda and watched a movie. And I had the volume up high.
  • Ate some tostitos with cheese sauce. :|
  • Cleaned the tub.
  • Took a lemon, lavender, safflower oil bath and listened to a Bob Marley CD.

The night was grand. Oh and I started writing the Stories of Haut Monde.

You got alot done! I'm excited for the future...reading about either a new house or travel. Both really fun to read about!

Sounds like you enjoyed your time alone. Good for you! I just want to know why our 'free' time always includes cleaning...NOT fair!

Amber, high five! You really took your day to the highest level. I think I would have gotten stuck on wine, take-out food, and movie. But you cast that aside and had a most productive day. Good for you!

AND I am waiting for part 2! It is delightful to have a night just for you isn't it? I love it, I wouldn't want it all the time, but when I get it, I enjoy it.
